Copper Chain by James Maxwell

Brief synopsis (no spoilers) Dion is now King, after his brother. Chloe is in a safe magical place, and will learn to control her use of magic. Kargan is working hard to keep his kingdom intact, despite it being so spread out. Palemon has almost no real resources, but he knows his ancestors had certain artifacts that allowed them to control the entire world, and he's determined to find them. Category Fiction, fantasy Why I chose this book Next in series My personal opinion (the review) Excellent story line. Kudos to the author! Thank you for keeping the fun clean! This book is full of action, and develops the story in all areas of the world, simultaneously. I definitely recommend this entry in the series, so just about anyone over 16 or so. Warnings Language: None Violence: Frequent fighting "Adult" situations: One scene of passion, with no details (cut to 4 weeks later) Death: Yes, and of major characters Movie rating equivalent PG-16 (not rated

Earth Alone by Daniel Arenson

Brief synopsis (no spoilers): Aliens dropped out of the sky and destroyed most of the major cities about 50 years ago. Soldiers still fight, and they have been having increasing success. Category : Sci-Fi Why I chose this book : I am a sucker for series My personal opinion : I couldn't make it past the first 20 pages. Five f-words in those pages- it was just too much. Technically, it was one phrase in a memory repeated over and over, but it was still too much for me. I do not recommend this novel for anyone. Warnings Language: Abundant Violence: Frequent fighting "Adult" situations: Unknown, none in the first chapter Death: Yes Movie rating equivalent : R, for language Protagonist description : Didn't get far enough Point of view of story : Third person Book length : Unknown Story flow : Decent, in the first chapter Grammar and spelling issues : None Character connection (no spoilers):  None

Once Upon a Happy Ending: An Anthology of Reimagined Fairy Tales

Brief synopsis (no spoilers): This is a collection of short stories, or cliffhangers to convince you to read the full book. They each start with a fairy tale and add some kind of twist to it. Category : Fiction Why I chose this book : My wife read it a while ago, so I thought I'd give it a try My personal opinion : Meh. The stories got better as the book progressed- grammar and spelling included, but the language got worse in the middle. I recommend skipping the first two thirds and going straight for the last two or three stories- those are the best. But there are other, better books out there. Keep in mind that almost every story ended in, "Want to find out what happens next? Buy my book!" Warnings Language: Yes, some of the stories had terrible language! Violence: Fighting was common, but only one had any detail "Adult" situations: Kissing, physical attraction, and reference to nudity, but no detail Death: Yes, including major characters Movie rating equival
