Why I chose this book: I enjoy fairy tale retellings and it was recommended by a friend.
My personal opinion: This book was so-so. The writing wasn't that great- about on par with Twilight (must be the last name Meyer). I don't regret reading it, but it probably won't make it's way to my bookshelf. Cyborgs and androids aren't really my type of thing though. The story was also quite predictable.
Warnings (language, violence, "adult" situations, death, etc.): None
Movie rating equivalent: Between PG and PG-13
Protagonist description: Cinder has gotten the short end of the stick in just about everything, but she is quick on her feet and uses her skills to her advantage. Sometimes she feels (to me as a reader) too much a victim of her circumstances.
Point of view of story: First Person
Book length: Short-medium
Story flow: Mostly fluid
Grammar and spelling issues: None
Character connection (no spoilers): Prince Kai - I would have like to have heard the story from his side.
For series:
Independent or integral: Independent
If you only have time for one, read: So far, Cinder
